reason for reasons..

When King Lear died Shakespeare wrote ,

“He dies”

That’s all. Nothing more. No fanfare, no metaphors, no brilliant final words. The combination of most influential of dramatic literature is “He dies”. The words of the greatest writer in the English language and the world's preeminent dramatist can only come out with.

And yet, everytime I read those two words I find myself overwhelmed with poignant. And I know it is natural to be sad. But not because of the word of the word “He dies” but because of the life we saw prior to the words..

So, I learnt that I must turn the page, continue reading, and let the next story begin. And if anyone ever asks what become of me, I relate it to my life and all its wonder and it will end with a simple, modest “she dies”.
